Employee Ownership – Time For Real Socio-Economic Dialogue

As we pause to consider the rights of workers this Workers’ Day 2022, we are revisiting the important issue of employee ownership.

To what extent can the economic rights of workers be unlocked through employee ownership? Is this a game-changer for socio-economic development in South Africa?

We are delighted to have as our guest speakers Prof Paul Cantrill and Mr Rhodri Packman who are both from CWMPAS, the main cooperative development agency in Wales, UK. Both have played key roles in advising and helping UK companies improve employee engagement and achieve sustainable growth. Also on the panel is Mr Mzwakhe Mbatha, Mr Mbatha will discuss the topic on labour rights versus employee rights.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn from the Welsh experience in employee ownership and how this can translate to South Africa.

Our guest speakers will be joined by Mr Tendani Nelwamondo, director of the Southern African Employee Ownership Association (SAEOA), and Dr Jenika Gobind, Senior Lecturer at Wits Business School. Click here for speaker bios
