Wits Business School warmly invites you to a webinar in which Wiam Haddad, Ecologist, will explore the complex transition to sustainability using prudent business practices, sound scientific insights and applied ethics.

Following a year-long expedition to the remote sub-Antarctic Marion Island as field biologist, Wiam works on ZZ2’s Natuurboedery team, and represents South Africa on the international Produce Marketing Association’s sustainability committee.

CEO of ZZ2, Tommie Van Zyl will introduce Wiam Haddad, and Jannie Rossouw, professor at WBS, will facilitate the discussion. Topics will include:

• The concept of “sustainability” in ecological and business terms
• Some of the parallels between business and ecological systems
• Insights business can take from ecosystems in the pursuit of sustainability
