Unpacking the Companies Amendment Bill 2021 with Michael Katz

On 1 October, 2021 the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) published the Companies Amendment Bill, intended to amend certain sections of the Companies Act of 2008 which came into being more than a decade ago, in May 2011 and introduce certain new sections. Some of the changes were first mooted in 2018, after which there followed a three-year period of interaction with interested parties.
