The Director of the African Centre for the Study of the United States (ACSUS) at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg (Wits), Prof Gilbert Khadiagala, and the Head and Director of Wits Business School, Prof Maurice Radebe, take pleasure in inviting you to attend the inaugural US Business in Africa Conference, taking place on Saturday 29 October, 2022 

This landmark conference follows the inaugural US Business in Africa awards ceremony taking place on Friday 28 October. Under the theme “US Businesses Doing Well by Doing Good in Africa”, this initiative aims to create a culture of celebrating good business citizenship and provide positive exposure for those US businesses that are positively contributing to Africa's economic development.
 
The conference will include high-level dialogues on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), opportunities for US businesses in Africa, mainstreaming ESG performance in Africa, and cultural and language competencies for doing business in Africa, among others.  We will also be launching our Corporate Ambassadorship and Case Study project.
