Dr Zinn is the former Group Head of Human Resources at Woolworths Holdings. In a stellar career she has also served as Head of Human Resources at Standard Bank and Deputy Global Head of Human Resources for the Standard Bank Group. She was also Group Executive HR at Nedbank, and General Manager of HR at SARS. Her own company, Shirley Zinn Consulting, provides consulting and advisory services in HR, transformation, leadership and education. She is an independent non-executive director on the boards of Sanlam, MTN-SA, Spur Corporation, and the World Wildlife Fund, among many others.

Author of the best-selling autobiography “Swimming Upstream”, Shirley is a sought-after keynote speaker as well as a coach and mentor to several women across multiple industries.
