The African Energy Leadership Centre (AELC) & The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) 2023 Bursaries

A limited number of bursaries are available to candidates registering for the following Energy Leadership programmes through Wits Business School:

  • 20 – Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Leadership
  • 10 – Master of Management in Energy Leadership
  • 5 – PhD - specialising in Energy Leadership

These bursaries will cover registration and tuition fees. Bursaries are only available for the 2023 academic year.

Successful applicants will:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Warrant financial assistance

Previously disadvantaged South African citizens will receive preference. Applicants will also qualify based on academic merit.

Applications will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis and at the sole discretion of the Programme Director for the African Energy Leadership Centre at Wits Business School. The School reserves the right not to award bursaries.

Successful applicants will sign and enter into a bursary agreement detailing conditions of acceptance, including the repayment of the bursary in the event of failure to complete the course. No bursary amounts will be off-set against a student’s academic fees unless such a bursary agreement has been signed by the student concerned. The timing of the disbursement of the bursary will be at the discretion of Wits Business School.
