Professor Boris Urban has won an award for his article “The institutional environment and social entrepreneurship intentions” published in Emerald’s International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research.

The article contributes towards a new understanding of the influence of the institutional dimensions on social entrepreneurial intentions, and its antecedents, in an African emerging market context, which may serve as a catalyst for this emerging and important global activity.

The article was selected by the journal’s editorial team as Highly Commended in the 2018 Emerald Literati Awards.
