1 December, 2022 - Wits Business School (WBS) has signed a three-year partnership agreement with the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET) which aims to transform the lives and careers of thousands of black females.

The customised Women in Leadership programme is targeted at executive, junior and middle management level positions of FASSET related qualifications / skills and those employed in various sectors, including Post School Education and Training (PSET) institutions.

The programme has been developed to help accelerate gender transformation at senior leadership level and will offer delegates the skills to confidently lead African organisations in a global context now and into the future.

Beneficiaries will gain a better understanding of their leadership role in relation to change management, diversity management, ethics, governance, finance strategy and sustainability.

The NQF-8 level programme has already kicked off with the first three cohorts comprising 91 delegates and it is anticipated that approximately 1000 women will benefit from the programme over the next three years.

In addition, the new partnership will also include a customised Management Advancement Programme (MAP) for Future Change Leaders which caters for middle managers in the finance and accounting sector who have specialised skills and experience but require in-depth understanding of the various management functions. The programme will support the delegates to enhance their skills and competencies and allow them to grow their careers and propel their companies to the next level.

To celebrate the ongoing partnership between WBS Executive Education and FASSET, a signing ceremony was held on Thursday 1 December, at WBS.
